Well, it's too bad you guys can't smell
through the internet, because
this plant is
absolutely awesome. Maybe you guys can count the flowers on here, because
I lost count somewhere around fifty. I'll see if I can walk around this without
getting stuck.
This plant is a Trichocereus
hybrid. I think that one of the
breeds that it is hybridized with is a candicans
and it's a good possibility that you can't get
seeds off of this plant, but it smells great.
If you've ever been
to Sun City, there's lots of these in Sun City. It's kind of a
popular plant
in Phoenix. OK, let's get a close up here on some of these flowers.
Look at that.
Isn't that nice? It's really a nice plant and it just smells beautiful.
OK, well I hope you guys like that.
OK, the bees are real happy today.
We've got another one here. This is a real smelly cactus.
It's another Trichocereus
candicans hybrid and the flowers are just
all over it.
Oh yeah, it smells great. This is just excellent.
Let's see if I can get the whole thing in there. I gotta back up. It's a big one.
There's the
whole thing there. What do you think of that? OK, here's one in a box, ready to go.
It's ready to be planted in the ground. OK, here we go again. It's another
Trichocereus hybrid. Let's see if I can get around this one.
There just flowers all over this thing.
Isn't that nice? Look at all of those flowers. OK, here we go again, another one.
Let's see what the bees are doing down here.
Look at that guy. He's having fun in there. He's liking it.
Yeah, there's some more.
Wow, we've got some yellow flowers in there, to throw with it.
That's another plant. It looks like another type of
candicans, maybe.
It might even be a hybrid. I'm not sure.
Oh boy,
the bees are just everywhere, this morning.I hope that
shows up on film. OK, these are a bunch that we're
growing here. They're just rooting in the ground. As you can see, they're already
doing pretty good.
OK, this ones a little bit smaller. It's only got eleven flowers on it.
Look at that. What a nice plant, ah?
Let's get the sun in here.
OK, here we have another one. This is another hybrid. This one's called
Flying Saucer. It's another Trichocereus hybrid, that
smelles great and it looks beautiful
and as you can see, these
flowers are just huge. Look at my hand. They'er bigger than my hand. Well,
almost; they're just so nice and the bees love them.
Let's get a bee in there.
OK, the bees, there's one. Go get it buddy.
OK,
here you go. Here's some more,
once again Argentine Giant.
Just filling the air with such a lovely aroma.
And here we have another
flying saucer. The
flowers are starting to close up on these now
