Oil of Oregano and Rosacea
By
Dr. James Meschino, DC, MS, ND
I want to talk to you about rosacea and how to treat it using oil of oregano. Oil of oregano
contains some active constituents that amazing can kill certain viruses, bacteria and other
microorganisms – even Candida type of infections. It’s sort of like nature’s antibiotic,
if you will, especially the P73 wild oregano blend, which is the one that I use and recommend.
I’ve used it to help people treat and manage rosacea because it kills the bacteria and
we also believe the skin mite that is associated with rosacea.
Most medical treatments for rosacea include giving the patient antibiotics, but because
rosacea is a chronic condition, you can’t continue taking antibiotics repeatedly because
you’ll end up with antibiotic resistance and then eventually you will have strains
of bacteria in your body that antibiotics can’t kill. This can lead to a very serious
problem, leading you susceptible to even greater, more serious infections. You want antibiotics
to be available to you if you really need them down the road.
I prefer using oil of oregano for things like rosacea and other chronic infections. The
active constituents that help it work so effectively are these volatile oils called thymol and
carvacrol, which are in the oil of oregano product. I use the 250 mg. capsules of the
P73 wild oregano blend because it’s very useful for many chronic situations, including
rosacea. In this case, the protocol I use would be 4 capsules, twice a day. Then I would
reduce the dosage as the patient begins to experience improvement.
Also, overnight I would have them apply an oil of oregano cream in order to kill any
surface bacteria or skin mites that may be on their skin externally. Together, they produce
a great affect. When it comes to lifestyle changes, certain
things can irritate or aggravate rosacea – ingesting hot liquids, excessive alcohol, spicy foods
and other irritants, such as over-exposure to sunlight, extreme temperatures, air temperature
extremes – both cold and warm air – and even hot or cold water can either trigger
or aggravate the condition. In addition, excessive physical activity, stress and having an imbalance
of the female hormones estrogen and progesterone can also be contributing factors.
On my website at http;//www.MeschinoHealth.com you’ll find additional information on rosacea
that you should read at some point, but for now I feel it’s important for you to understand
the value of using oil of oregano and its properties that can kill some of the microorganism.
This is a mainstay in natural management of rosacea. Download the eBook I have right here,
