So. Here. For Thore has a dachshund too.
Yes, that is Lando. Our boss. He is 15, 16 now already. Don't even know exactly.
And that was around the time when he began to no longer run along during the walks.
And then I had him in my bagpack. That's the boss.
Back in the bagpack. Kinda looks like a baby carrier bag.
No, that's just a normal bagpack. That was back then, all of a sudden, he couldn't...
didn't work anymore and then he sat in the forrest and wailed.
And then I said "Come on, climb on top" and then I took him along.
He thought it was great.
Very commendable. So you are a real animal lover.
Yes, totally. Dogs are great. Sadly it's not an option in Cologne.
Therefore I only see them at my parents.
But that's nice then. - All in all, there are three.
Yes, we have three dogs at home. The dachshund, the cairn terrier and rhodesian ridgeback.
And they all get along great?
Phh, he's the boss. And the two girls are a gang too who always run around outside.
So, they all get along well. - And now to get back to Otti once more.
So Otti you got, when exactly? - On my 18th birthday.
Back then she was about this big and - So it was right one after the other!
Yes. So, we did it exactly the same way, funnily enough. She lives back with us.
Although she does have a house, but she can get out any time she wants to.
And runs arcoss the meadows at our place.
Goes for a walk into the forrest. Then she might be gone for a day.
And other than that, for feeding she always comes back and yes, she really has a great life.
She is how old now?
Now, I'm 24, then she's 6 now.
And how old do pigs like that get? I have no clue about pigs at all.
I don't know exactly. I know the old one, the other one got to 16 or 17.
They can get pretty old. If they are treated well I think they can get a bit older.
Otto was 18 years old, or 17.
No bad. And you really grew up in the countryside, always among animals?
For the fresh eggs, they taste much better than the ones from the supermarket.
So true! - I'm from the countryside as well, so I know what's up.
Yeah, exactly, you know.
And then we had chicken who ran around, 2 or 3.
Then the hawk comes who decimates a bunch of them.
Then new ones have to step up.
That's always a bit sad. But that's the way of life.
and then the horses. We also bred the horses we have ourselves.
Nice! - We now still have two mares, the older ones running around at home.
and they too have the most relaxed life you can imagine.
Just have to run around on the meadow. Come to the gate once for food.
They are well off. - One can't imaginea life without animals.
I for one can't at all.
It's a no go.
They are always there. They are always friendly. (shrugs)
That's very nice.
We now have a great category here. The category "Huh?".
And this time it's isn't really as much. One can recognize it: It's a calendar of FL
For next year. And Thore will sign it of course.
And then it will be worth just about 1000 Euro more.
Not exactly. - And there are really, really great pictures in it.
And yes, here, really romantic.
The most beautiful one if of course on the last page here.
The last page? Oh, that's where you are.
Ah! - We just stole a Christmas tree from our castle Königsbrunn.
I'm dropping everything... - Makes no difference. So!
That's wonderful. - Yes.- In any way you can win the calender
If you answer the following quiz question:
And it is: What is the name of Thore's pig?
Is it called A.) Otti or B.) Fiffi
If you know the answer, etc, etc...
That's it for now. Here, make sure you write something nice, yes?
Naturally. I write only nice things!
In the meantime, while he concentrates on what he's going to write...
Heartfelt greetings from Otti...
Heartfelt greetings and now we go to our other correspondent
It's about horse races, Ben Hur style!
Now I'm a bit jealous. I wanna do it like that too one day.
I just wanted to say, that would be the next activity,
if we two mount a cart together, we could do that together in Cologne.
We'd have to ask [comedian] Stefan Raab first,
Is this an official invitation?
Yes, sure. I'll gladly invite you to go riding together.
Wonderful. By the way, you also have a horse.
Or you had a horse, right? I'll show the picture here.
Yes, exactly. I rode dressage for 15 years, I think, or 16.
Sadly I had to give it up when all that stuff came up
with graduation and military service.
Riding is the kind of hobby that sadly takes a lot of time.
You know that, you had that too.
A tennis racket you can throw in the corner.
A horse you might be able to put into a corner, but
but it still needs feeding and to be cleaned. And that takes time.
That's true. And that is right before the competition, isn't it?
Yes. - Kissing? - No, that's my horse "Welcome".
That's was quite funny, before I went to the tournament
He always stood under the tanning station in the morning
He was a really relaxed type.
I'd check the braids again.
And then he always took a nap on my shoulder.
And yes, that was "Welcome". - That's really beautiful.
It was really sad too when we had to sell him.
But that's part of the prgoram when you have an animal like that.
One has to say goodbye to it eventually.
When did you start with horseback riding?
No clue. My sister already rode before me.
And then I always just ran along, sat on the ponies,
with a toy gun and played cowboy.
And at one point it became a serious thing.
To do a bit after all, I don't even know.
You told yourself, all or nothing. So you did a real education.
Yes. And then dressage.
I rode A- dressage and then L-dressage and when it starts with M...
then you have to invest even more time into it.
I was more the type who went to the rider-parties
and then drove to the tournament in the morning completely hammered
and after a while that didn't fly anymore.
And then my mother got a bit grouchy too
because she had to put the horse into the transport while I snored in the car
Funnily, it always worked better when I drank something before
It's not supposed to be a reccomendation to drink something
but I was more relaxed then. - Not as nervous. - Yes!
The horses notice that immediately. When you are more relaxed
then they are more relaxed too.
And under the influence I apparently was more relaxed.
saw everything like "Yeah, come over."
My horse thought it was great. - Well, that's wonderful then.
I didn't annoy him as much and then he did pretty things.
What's next for you now? What are you doing?
Is there anything new what you definitely still want to tell us?
What I definitely want to tell... Yes, today, for the short term
Today evening I still go to Cologne, there's an Oktoberfest party
An inspired one. And there I'll party today still.
And on the weekend it's up into the Ore mountains
there I'll go a bit on a hunt.
That's gonna be my weekend. That's what I look forward to.
That too is about animals. - In a slightly different way. - Exactly.
But it's also connected to animals. Oh man.
Yes, you. Now the time is actually already over.
That went by chop chop.
Yes. Chop chop. I was delighted to have you here.
Maybe another time again and then
You'll take your dogs, your pigs, everything with you.
If you maybe then do it outside, on a meadow,
And I can take all of them there with me, love to! I'll do it.
Sweet! - It's a promise. - That's wonderful. It's a promise.
I'll get back to you on that.
I say thank you to too for tuning in. We'll see you again next time.
And at the end we still have our Laugh Out Loud clip. Godspeed, bye bye! - Ciao!
