In this tutorial
we are going to explore different methods
to draw objects in Synfig
First, we are going to use the rectangle tool
to create the sky.
Let's choose the rectangle tool.
In the tool's parameters
we check that the region check box
is selected
Now we can draw the rectangle.
We choose a color
and fill it.
We are going to create a road now.
For that, we are using the polygon tool.
let's choose it
check the parameters
and create the road.
With this tool
we can create objects with many sides.
The minimum is three sides.
Choose the color
and fill the polygon.
It's a good practice to change the name of the layers.
Let's call this layer: road
Finally
we are going to create some mountains
The mountains should be placed
on top of the sky
but bellow the road.
So we select the sky layer
before drawing the mountains.
We are going to use the drawing tool
because it allow us to create objects
with more complex shapes.
We choose the tool,
check the parameters,
choose a color,
and we draw the mountain.
I'm joining the extreme points
of the line
than define the mountain.
This step is not really necessary.
Let's call these layers
mountains.
We called the first one mountains outline
and the other one
we called mountains Region.
This is going to be the background
for our animation,
so we are going to select all the layers
and we are going to group them,
Finally, we change the name of the group
to "background".
Thanks for watching the video.
In the next video
we are going to create an airplane.
See you next time.
