Hi I'm Matt from Telstra and today I'll be taking a deep dive into some of the amazing
features of the new Nokia Lumia 1020. You can sum up the Nokia Lumia 1020 in three words:
41, megapixel, sensor. Smartphone cameras have improved a great deal since the birth
of the smartphone, but photos captured in certain settings — people in dark rooms
— often appear grainy and far away. The Nokia Lumia 1020 wants to change all that
by giving those who fancy themselves as shutterbugs some impressive features, most notably a 41MP
imaging sensor with Optical Image Stabilisation designed to capture high-resolution photos
and video. This is definitely a phone designed for the snap happy. Nokia pushes the smartphone
camera envelope with a combination of raw image-capturing prowess and close-cropping
capability that makes it one of the most artistically able smartphone cameras available.
With Nokia Pro Camera, creativity is endless, offering easy to use controls normally only
accessible to expert photographers. Nokia takes you through all the controls and features
of the camera, and you're given tips on how to create your next epic Instagram shot!
With features previously only found in digital SLR cameras, complex settings are turned into
easy adjustments with immediately visible results, great for those first time users.
Pro Camera also offers confident camera users access to manual controls for creative photography-
you can easily change white balance, ISO and flash settings.
The 41 mega-pixel sensor captures two shots simultaneously, a full-resolution image whilst
simultaneously capturing a 5 megapixel oversampled image. The oversampling technology ensures
the 5 megapixel image is incredibly sharp and allows you to edit, zoom and enhance your
pictures without sacrificing quality. So you can share and upload your photos easily. Plus
when you plug the camera into your computer you can download the full megapixel images.
The flash makes low light shots even better, using Xenon technology instead of the typical
LED flash. The Xenon flash is bright for a smartphone and has a great range. Nokia Rich
Recording is technology specifically developed to deliver the highest quality of stereo audio
recording when recording video using Nokia Pro Camera. This phone has two specially designed
microphones, designed to handle high high sound pressure levels, ensuring distortion-free
sound. Great for capturing those moments in loud environments like sporting events or
concerts and the optical image stabiliser will do wonders to shaky phone footage. And
with the Pro Camera Video recording, editing and uploading HD videos is easy, as videos
can be captured and edited using the built-in app before you upload your masterpiece. Giving
you the ability to capture and create the perfect video moment without having to use
a computer to edit. Your pics and videos will look stunning on the amazing 4.5" PureMotion
HD display. The phone is just as good looking as other phones in the Lumia range and through
some clever design by Nokia this phone is not that much bigger, considering it has this
impressive lens. Windows Phone 8 resides inside the Nokia Lumia 1020. This version of Windows
Phone 8 adds a few nifty new features to the software like double tap the display to turn
it on, or flip your phone over to silence it. And if you love customizing your device,
there are a handful of new wallpapers added. There are over 170,000 apps available on Windows
Phone 8 This is a phone for photography lovers with some amazing features that really sets
the Lumia 1020 apart. I've been playing with this phone for a few days now and I've really
loved the Nokia Pro camera app because someone with no photography knowledge like me can
play with it and feel like a pro. This phone is definitely worth checking out so go online
or into a Telstra store. I'm Matt from Telstra and thanks for watching.
