Among the events that I want to comment on, and we ask God Almighty that our speech may be of avail to us O Lord of creation, Amen ...
First of all, the events that taking place around Maspiro and the Nile Corniche and Tahrir and other areas, are extremely saddening.
I want to tell you, ladies and gentlemen, if you know anyone present there, whether they're Christians (Nasara) or Muslims, tell them to go home ...
because these are trying times, truly. I know these, actually, are fabricated events, not spontaneous.
Because these events were announced three days ago. The names of those calling for it are known.
So-and-so and so-and-so, said we're going to have a demonstration here and here because of uh...
events that happened in Upper Egypt.
Nobody stopped things, in three days?
This is actually the second time that events related to Christians (Nasara) are used to impose ... or to develop a state of security or a security situation.
The first time was in March ... you know that the revolution was 25 January and the president fell on Feb. 11.
The security situation -- Central Security and weapons and sticks, that wasn't there.
They wanted to bring that back, so then lo and behold, in March, the first Maspiro incident with Christians (masihiyin) took place.
Now for the second time they're imposing a curfew. They've imposed a curfew in Tahrir Square. Very good. Tahrir Square, which belonged to everyone, now there's a curfew and no one can walk there, til the morning.
Maybe this will turn out ... I don't know ... God only knows ... nothing happened.
Maybe this will turn out ... I don't know ... God only knows ... nothing happened.
Maybe there's no church actually. There is really no church, say it has to do with some supposed church in Edfu in Aswan. But there you go.
These are events people have known about for three days, so no one should call it 'sectarian conflict.' Conflict between Christians and Muslims.
These are people here, not in Aswan, these are people who are moving around a government building, I don't know who hit first, God only knows!
I don't know. All I know is that what we have here is events announced three days in advance, that they're going to happen.
Nothing has come out from the security people that it's an acceptable demonstration or not, or from the church or anything.
What we have here is something ... it's not sectarian! It's something directed. And something ...
But I know at any rate ... it is a matter that will call for increased security. God only knows what will happen afterwards.
First of all, I want to say, that this comes as the result of negligence of very important political groups, very large ones, we have to concede that, they're letting things go this way ...
The second thing is ... people should go home. Because today, they've said the number killed is sixteen or fifteen or seventeen ... why are they dead?
Things happened in Aswan, not here!
They're dead so that we can do what? No doubt, it's an important issue, and I'm telling everyone to go home, don't go into the street, don't do anything.
And I think that those who have been mobilized against the Christians (masihiyin) -- that's also fabricated. Please, no one participate in this kind of pointless discourse.
So ... what's the solution? We've talked about this fifty thousand times. A lot.
The solution to sectarian conflict is, the secret key, the key to the treasure chest, is one word. Just one word.
Justice. Complete justice. Clarity and justice. The one who's is wrong, whether his name is Muslim or Christian, that's not the problem.
The issue is justice and injustice.
Whoever does something wrong, let him be punished, openly and publicly. Let's not have this ... smoothing things over ... no, that's wrong.
As to what is going in Arabic countries ... first of all, I ask God the Great and the Glorious, they say, praise God ... maybe you've heard of these telephone conversations, to bring aid to the people of Libya, O Lord of all creation ...
