This is the Academy Rhythm camber profile snowboard. That's right, these things are
made in Austria. This board has a flex rating of a 7, it's going to be on the stiffer end
of the scale. It is a true twin shaped board for that freestyle rider at heart. The sandwich
construction and centered stance are going to be pretty much bomb-proof all season long.
When you look at the topsheet you'll notice the rough textured pattern that it has, it's
almost feels like grip tape in spots where the keys lay. The Canadian Aspen wood core
runs from tip to tail. There's also poplar stringers that run by the inserts from tip
to tail as well giving it that extra lightweight feel and the extra responsive feel that this
board will have. The Biax fiberglass runs in two different directions at 90 degrees
and at 0 degrees, and the radial sidecut radius will definitely keep you on a smooth edge
both in the entrance and exits of turns. The low maintenance base is an extruded 2000 base.
You won't have to wax this as much as a sintered base, but I'd say keep this thing well maintained.
Again this is the Academy Rhythm snowboard with a camber profile, there is also a reverse
camber profile that comes with more options.
