Hey this is Micky from Maroon 5 and I am vegan. Just like a general affection for animals and a respect for all living things. Just having those sparks of interest actually led me to do some research. When you dig below the surface what you find out is really disturbing, it sort of makes veganism seem like the only
option, I cannot even conceive of going back to eating animal products. Fast Food Nation has obviously become a bible for the friends I have around me who are vegan, just because it turned a lot of people I know. That is a movie I would recommend. It is not even, it goes into every aspect of not only the fast
food industry but the fast food industry in general and how it affects not only the murdering of animals, but also the wage-slavery of immigrant workers, the horrible health of our country the detriment the meat industry is causing pretty much is a good umbrella look at all those and it gets pretty specific in its detail. For some reason people sort of put fish in a different catergoy and tend to not shed as much light on the subject as there should be. That is something that has never made sense to me for people who are pro-animal rights or vegetarian to sort of ignore the pain that fish undergo when they die and the health issues that are at hand. So I would say if I could see more light shed on that subject it would benefit a lot of people. Yeah LA is very vegan friendly, there is a restaurant called the Newsroom they have these vegan chicken drumsticks that have converted people. It has also fooled people it is like the best fake meat I have ever had and just generally delicious. We have started writing some stuff now for the next album in the vain of this record. It will be so long that hopefully we will discover a whole new angle but we will see. New tours, it is like a totally new different experience and it is just fun to live on the road, it is fun to travel, it is a great excuse to travel. I was actually worried about being on tour and how hard it would be but it has actually been easier than I expected. You can find food anywhere, it is just a matter of putting a little bit more effort into it, it is not bad at all. For more information on animal rights and veganism visit peta2.com
