Hello my name is Neil Benjamin Doore
I am from Browning, MT, a little town across the mountains.
I play trumpet in the marching band.
I just love to play music.
This is my second year
at the University here
and I am hoping to become an anthropology major.
I dream about traveling the world.
When I first got here I was very shy, very shy.
You have to get to know people
and you have to get out of your shell and like actually say “Hey, Hello” shake hands.
This is myself, not this little shy kid
My morning job I work for the Kaimin printing and graphics, I deliver the papers on campus
I get up around 6:15 in the morning, I do my really early morning rituals
I get to work.
It feels like I’m up earlier than everyone else.
The balance for me was actually
like having the balance between friends and my work, one to have fun and one not to have fun.
I have that total freedom just to go out and just do whatever I wanted
but I knew I had to have those boundaries there.
The Griz game from my eyes, it's actually really big,
but a, it's great, love it!
Because last year I was in the stands and that was just a tremendous
like ‘oh my god, Grizzlies are right there’.
When I’m on the field I’m like ‘oh my god, the grizzlies are right behind me.’
'The players are right here'. ‘There’s Monte!’ Ohhh
It’s so fun, so energetic.
The University is like my second home because I’ve got so many good friends here
basically like my family, even though my family back home is supporting me
having the support here
is a great help, it’s such a tremendous help.
I am very proud I’m here,
just to make it this far.
Even though it’s just my sophomore year,
I’m pretty proud of myself.
