Hello everybody! As always you've given me so many ideas in the comments
ideas for new videos
and some of you wanted to see me as a
man. That's why I decided to draw myself as a dude.
And also myself in some other shapes.
I'm curious how do you imagine me
as if I was an animal,
which Disney princess would I be
and what food. Write in the comments right now!
Press "pause", and write in the comments, so we'll see...
(STOP)
I forgot to mention, each one of today's drawings is going to be colored with a different technique.
...if you guessed correctly. So let's start with a Disney princess.
At first I thought I'd be Belle from "Beauty and the Beast",
because it's my favourite Disnet movie, but then I thought
I think I'm more like...
Rapunzel from "Tangled".
And! FUN FACT, when this movie came to theatres and I saw it
with my friends, they all agreed, that
Rapunzel must've been based on me.
And all the more I was so hyper back then
Kinda crazy, like, so energetic.
Now I'm a lot calmer, but back then I was literally just like Rapunzel.
And I wrote a letter to Disney, in English of course, in which
I listed all similarities of me and Rapunzel, added my picture and sent it to Disney. The most interesting thing is
I got a response.
Well, it's too much to call it a resonse,
but they sent me a photo of people, who were acting as Rapunzel and Flynn in Disneyland,
so it was a picture of these two actors,
signed "Rapunzel and Flynn".
The most important similarities I see in myself and Rapunzel are,
except of blond hair, which is pretty long,
we're both creative, like to paint, read, knit, we like art
and we see good in people.
I know it's kinda naive.
But it makes us see the world more positive.
And for sure we both like adventures,
I think we have courageous souls...
Because we look alike, you might think
there is Rapunzel in this picture,
not me. But take a look at the fringe
and color of the dress - it's blue, not pink,
and I think blue is MY COLOR.
Okay, tell me the truth,
what food do you think I am?
At first I thought I'd be a good sushi.
Because I love sushi.
and... that was all.
It's hard to match yourself with the food based on it's qualities.
So I decided to follow my taste and I chose tomato soup.
I've always joked my veins are made of pasta,
that's how much I like pasta.
It's not enough it's my beloved tomato soup,
there's also pasta, so it's a...
POWER COMBO!!!
I won't be mad if you create a story behind this choice.
Me as a tomato soup.
Okay, so it's time for an animal.
I'm guessing most of you thought I'd draw myself as a deer.
But no.
The animal is... a lykaon.
I bet
most of you haven't even heard about it before. Am I right?
I fell in love with lykaons from the moment I saw them for the first time.
Look at those ears, like Mickey Mouse's. They just...
They are meant to be loved for eternity.
But most of all I loved their description,
they are African Wild Dogs, which
live in groups, in... packs...
No, it's an english word, "pack".
Em... brace...
robber band... group...
How do you say it properly?!
Pack! Yes. It's a pack.
So I liked that lykaons, which are predators,
after killing their prey they give food to the weaker members of the pack first, not the strongest.
Which is amazing, because it means they feel so confident about their strength,
they'll be fine no matter what happens, but the weaker needs to be taken care of.
And there's one more thing that's pretty impressive,
when lions hunt,
effectiveness of their huntings, when it ends with success
is only 30%. But lycaons have 80% of effectiveness!
That's because they have this amazing stamina and perseverance that makes them so successful. Their prey will be exhausted much faster
then they will.
They're so persistnet. And I think,
damn, when set sight on a goal
I'm also this stubborn and persistant,
so I don't give up. So here we have the African Wild Dogs,
which are sociable, caring and persistant.
I wanted to be one of them. I had to draw myself as a lycaon.
Now it's time... to reveal myself as a man.
Let's try pinning my hair...
It's half of the success!
He he he
Little strand for mustache...
And? How do I look?
I think if I was a man, my personality
wouldn't be much different from my current one.
Your sex doesn't determine your behaviour.
A guy may love watching romantic movies, cuddling and long talks,
and a woman can repair a sing, wear loose pants and provide for a family!
Whoa, that was really stereotypical.
But what I'm saying is! I really think,
I'd be exactly the same as I am now,
maybe even more romantic,
because as a man I'd have more reasons to make nice gestures to the person I love.
STEREOTYPICAL CRAP CONTINUES
So I think I'd be more chivalrous,
and romantic.
Hey, seriously, I can't think of any differences.
My personality is so unrelated to my sex...
honestly I think I'd be exactly the same as a guy!
I think I would wear different clothes.
And dance to music less feminine.
Are these the only differences?
Really?
As it comes to lack of resemblance to the drawing...
let's say it was supposed to be like that.
It's not like I'm unable to catch the resemblance.
And this is totally not the reason why I don't make portraits.
Okay, it's time for your artworks.
You've sent more than 300 drawings. Can you imagine?
THREE HOUNDRED. In one week. WOW.
Thank you for all of it. For the next episode I'd like you to draw yourself
as... an animal!
Send pictures to olsikowa@gmail.com,
and don't forget to put your signature!
Please, write your nicknames, names or whatever.
I'm begging you.
Yup. So see you next Thursday at 6 p.m.
Take care and byebyebye!
Can you feel this tension?
This staring?!
ARE YOU STARING AT ME?
(chichot)
Oh God...
What am I doing with my life...
