Your projects and products have always been based on the importance of Made in Italy:
Which are the new products for this year?
V: This year, thanks to the Furniture Exhibition that gave us the opportunity to have two different stands, VG has been able to express itself,
This stand is dedicated to Design and the Italian quality known all over the world,
so we’ve created the VG Lounge Bar, with this Cocktail Time table and the bar behind us,
because we want more and more join the world of wine,
that’s why we’ve created the same ambience at Vinitaly, that will end tonight,
introducing the concept of a wine bar tied to luxury and the current trend,
the Made in Italy appreciated by the whole world that we want to bring in this niche,
so we are trying to work with materials and shapes as much as possible close to the world of wine.
This is giving to us satisfaction and we are happy.
I: So in all of your projects and products there’s the attention to materials and details…
V: Yes, it’s fundamental. Made in Italy is this, as we can see by the 30% increase of foreign visitors in this edition of the Furniture Exhibition, as well as a 33% increase at Vinitaly,
this means Made in Italy is growing, provided that it’s characterized by excellence, quality and competence,
so VG and me and Marilena (the other designer not here now), those who are carrying on the brand, are aiming at the quality of design and details.
I: Which is your target?
V: We have always aimed at a top/middle-top target, we want to reach that kind of customers.
I: Are there others new products you are going to present this year? Before you were talking about an armchair.
V: Yes, we are exhibiting a moon shaped easy chair
designed for elegant locations, revolving 360° on itself,
also suitable to outdoor spaces, using specially treated leathers,
then we have a collection of essential shaped objects and steel vases,
that give us the opportunity to be attractive also in those modern markets.
although until a few years ago our strength was Baroque and rounded shape,
that we have well shown at the Classic stand,
where we have expressed the classic VG, that’s colors, shapes, design appreciated in the classic market,
as Russia, India, China, which are our main customers,
we have focused that stand on that concept, as opposed to this one more focused on a modern and essential style.
