Compressing (Zipping) files....
Are you ready?
Let's get started!
How do we "zip" or compress
the files in our lesson folder?
Let's double-click
the Lesson 1 folder
to see what is inside.
We need to compress
this group of files
into a "zipped" folder
so that they are easy to transport
as a single unit.
Click the X button in the top right corner
of the window to close the folder.
Right Click on the Lesson1 folder
that contains the files
that we want to zip.
Select the "Send to" menu item.
Select the Compressed
"zipped" folder menu item.
You will now have two folders
with the same name.
On this desktop,
the original folder is on the left,
and the compressed,
"zipped" folder is on the right.
Notice the "zipper".
You may also see
a zip file extension.
This zipped folder is now
easily emailed, attached, or uploaded
just as you would email,
attach, or upload a single file.
