recently YouTube decided to
uh remove the stop download feature from Adobe Flash Player
so when you right click here it no longer says
stop download anywhere it just shows stats and debug info and
playback issues and
things like that and the embed code but it used to say stop download
in here so if you would go stop download you could
see the video thumbnail even though
the video thumbnail had the play button
over lapping it people could still see the video thumbnail
and I don't know save it or do whatever with it
um but YouTube decided to remove it
now it wasn't Adobe that decided to do it it was
YouTube that decided to remove the ability but there is a way that you can
actually
still do it and not have the play
button overlapping the image and see the image in 1280 by 720
uh so I'll show you how to do that now
the first thing you do is press
control + U and then it brings up the
page source and the next thing you want to do is press
control and F and that'll bring up the find
like you can see here
and then you type in OG colon
image and then it locates the OG
colon image in the page source and then you just drag it over
or scroll over to
the end of the link here and highlight this link
by left clicking your mouse and dragging over top of it
and then right-click and go copy
now we'll go into this new tab that I already have open
and we'll just click paste and go
and there you go that's the video thumbnail right there
and you can right-click it
and save image as or email the image
or copy the image or image location
now to prove that I
got the right video thumbnail here it is just a lot smaller as it's displayed
on
the YouTube website or channel
or in your subscription feed so
that is one way you can get the video thumbnail uh since
they've decided to remove stop download
