Hey guys! I'm ted. I'm doing the Hoop Injury Population s...
Survey, heh. I hope you guys don't mind, I'm getting my hair did at the same time.
So, I'm so super excited that you guys are interested in helping out,
contributing a little.
So there are 2 main, pressing needs that we have right now:
prizes, and videos.
Ok, so prizes! The two big phases of the survey coming up
are the fundraising, and the actual survey itself.
Fundraising, the campaign is going to start this Friday, March 16th.
Basically, just like when you donate to like, a radio station,
"donate $25 and get this tote bag...
"donate $50 and get this... whatever thing"
our campaign is going to do the same thing,
so we need prizes for those different levels.
Big stuff AND small stuff is totally appreciated.
And then, the survey itself is going to be coming out
in May.
May through August, we're trying to get
at least 1000 people to fill out the survey
and what really will help and get people really excited
about the survey - besides helping your fellow hoop community
the knowledge that if you fill out the survey,
you're going to be entered to win a cash prize
and possibly some of these other cool prizes.
What makes a great prize?
Anything that's unique, shareable, and relevant to the theme.
The theme is hoop injuries, hoop healing, health,
that type of thing.
So, a hoop dvd, a free ticket to a hoop workshop
or retreat,
a silk-screened t-shirt, a poem.
If you knit, maybe a hat or a scarf, or a sling to put
your broken arm or broken leg in.
Maybe if you do essential oils, maybe some kind of salve
or healing thing.
If you're an artist, that's fantastic;
maybe a print, a sculpture, a creation or image
of some cute, cartoony hooper on crutches
spinning a hoop on his crutch,
or a hooper with a big smile who just fell on the ground
and like a big, silly cartoon bump on his head
with spinning, chirpy birds or twinkling stars.
So, the possibilities are endless.
If you're an artist and you want to donate some art,
we can put that on t-shirts, and stickers and hoodies
and stuff like that.
So, really, you can get as creative as you want to be
with that stuff.
So - the video. We're looking for 2 types of videos.
Number 1 is a silly, funny, really cheesy hoop injury
that you're faking. You're faking a hoop injury.
So, bonk yourself, trip and fall, whatever you want to do -
no more than 15 seconds.
Really ham it up, Charlie Chaplin style.
The second type of video is a short version of your story,
a hoop injury that you had. It could be really funny,
it could be interesting
in some way, emotional, touching.
Just share your story.
Under a minute is great! Two minutes is probably
the max. Just about 2 minutes telling your hoop injury story.
If you're a hoop teacher, that's awesome.
You can do a bulk deal: get all your students to do injuries
one after the other
and/or do their hoop injury talk.
So those are the great things that we need
that would be super duper helpful right now.
The prizes - big and small, as well as the videos.
