Hi my name is Jason Greer, a motivational speaker who specializes in equality and diversity
training, soft skills training and motivational speeches.
If I put myself in the shoes of a business owner I'm thinking to myself "why in the world
would even consider doing diversity training? I'm not going to have someone come in here
and divide my people. It's tough enough running a business, I not going to pay someone to
make my employees feel like their racist or sexist."
As a business owner you have a responsibility to your employees. And in all honesty, there
have been too many diversity management programs that have unwittingly promoted racism, sexism
and prejudice and left people wondering "What does Diversity Mean?"
Here's my take... equality and diversity training programs should teach people how to communicate
cross culturally and how to appreciate our commonalities while minimizing our differences.
As a diversity trainer I have a responsibility to your organization to ensure that diversity
in the workplace training helps to improve organizational morale, increased employee
retention, minimized conflict and possibly serves to shield the organization from discrimination-based
lawsuits.
This is a responsibility that I take very seriously because I am committed to building,
motivating and providing people with the knowledge necessary to grow and adapt to this ever-changing
world.
Anything less is a waste of your time and money.
