My name is Chris Harpster with Revealty and I’m going to give you advice on how to stay
in control or maintain control for your home search. Most people, when they decide they
want to buy a house, they go online, they start looking at homes and they run around
looking at open houses and calling the listing agent and end-up all over the place. This
creates stress and uncertainly and it also creates an environment where you have the
agents trying to sell something to you. A more practical approach is finding an agent
that you trust, sitting down with somebody, going over your budget, what kind of house
you want and where you should be looking for those homes. Having a plan will reduce your
stress and it will give you a peace of mind for knowing that when you’re committed to
someone, they’re committed to you and you eliminate all those sales tactics. So, in
the end take your time, do your homework, come up with the plan and it will make for
a much less stressful environment when buying the home.
