>>Erik: So what lessons have you learned about cultural anthropology and psychology that
you would not have been able to capture without your art and design background?
>>Jason: I`ve always been one to believe that the little details of design makes a huge
impact. But no one ever will go through an experience or do something or see something
and if you ask them why would that make you so happy, they don`t say, ``Because the color
of this matched the color of that up there, and the thing that I got and the way I was
spoken to made sense because of the color.`` Nobody talks about anything like that and
you look at companies like Apple for example, and they have a very strict brand guideline
and every single detail is figured out and people love Apple. People always talk about
Apple. I`m talking about Apple right now. They do that because all of those little details,
all those little details measure up to this one thing that makes you happy and let you
have this great experience. And so the way that design or art has influenced or made
me aware of anthropological or sociological things is that the filter is also on my eyes
when I`m in any situation. So whether it be I`m traveling or working or what have you
I`m looking for all those little details because I`m one who creates all those little details.
