TRIM
-After taking a recording, audio or midi track (what we know as clip), can be seen graphically
in a "window" into our DAW. (That my case is Adobe Audition).
-In Adobe Audition can easily find trim tool, simply place the mouse pointer over the beginning or end of our clip for the tool automatically appears.
-We can now click and drag left to apply the trim, as we can see, the clip does not deform, change of place only the beginning and the end "or both".
Without that our audio is affected in the timeline.
SEPARATING AND CUTTING
-Again after having our clip inside the DAW, adobe audition cut option can be found in the top tools, unlike other DAW, in which the icon is represented
-After selecting the tool (which must be worked in a "non-destructive"
Now if our pointer icon will change as the blade,
we can realize that passing the pointer over the clip, you see a yellow line, and when we click left, separated or cut our clip.
THE GRID
. If we move our clip, we can see that it has a self- adjusting every 10 sec.
(That is the preset).
Now we go with the pointer, to the time line, and we right click.
On this occasion only occupy the second option, which is "set",
here we displace other options that can be enabled or disabled,
and for now we are interested in is the option to "enabled",
we disable, and return to our clip.
And as we can see, and does not self-adjusting, so we have a more efficient way to work.
FADE AND CROSSFADE
-This tool is very useful to make a cut, because doing so on a wave passes zero, it generates a pop or a click. You can choose a point where the wave is in
zero, but would take away time and would be tedious.
The fade gives us the option to reduce or dispel our clip, either at the beginning or at the end. And to find this tool, we go to our clip window and in the top left,
we see a clear picture, and similarly, the upper right side. Left to fade the start, and right to the end fade.
We click in which we will modify, and letting down the attenuation can assign seek.
The crossfade, we use it to prevent pop or click when joining two clips, and is as simple as dragging a clip on top of another, in this way we avoid the clicks
generated by joining two clips.
ZOOM
-This tool is almost like using a magnifying glass, we can guess or out of a clip or even the tracks in the daw. And it is useful to view the sound waves in more detail.
-This tool is found in the bottom right of our window tracks, to ward see an icon with a magnifying glass and the symbol -, and to zoom in with the +
CYCLE
-This tool is useful to be able to repeat a section for the production and editing to adjust until we are satisfied.
-to use the cycle, you need to activate the tool "selection time" and then simply select the range you want to edit and or play. In this way only that specific
section can be edited.
MERGE
-This option allows 2 or more clip into one,
-This option is found by selecting the clips you want to join, we click der. Mix session new file
then time selection. In this way we create a new file, which you can drag into a new track, if you so desire.
NAME AND COLOR
-An option that serves as a guide we are working with,
-Change the name is as simple as clicking on the track and activate the check box to place the name you need.
Color-to cambiarel simply right click on the clip you want to change and choose "color clip / group ..." so you will get a window with a range of colors to choose
from.
MARKER
We used to define specific locations on a track
-Mainly we create the marker, choose the area and go to edit / bookmark / add marker signal-
to name a marker, put the pointer over the marker and we left click, and select Rename marker, opens a window on the left side where we can assign a label.
While these issues are of the 2nd week of introduction to music production, assigment during .
