It all started with the fact that I haven't found a player which would have interested me.
Denis Koryavov, the head of the ROMP project: we decided to design our own player which would allow us to do things we are interested in.
So, this is how ROSA Media Player have appeared. We call it ROMP.
We tried to do our best, so that you weren't distracted with the program control. Want to add a couple of files into playlist?
A mouse click is enough.
You can add subtitles, improve image quality and change sound options just as easily.
Despite of apparent simplicity, ROMP function range is more than wide. It supports most video formats and contains a lot of tools for working with them.
For example, you can easily cut out your favorite episode from a movie or save music from some video clip you liked.
Moreover, you can find video clips in the Internet, because we have intergrated the full-text search on YouTube.
Here is a real-world example. My daugther likes watching cartoons.
The six-year-old girl starts ROMP by herself, creates playlist with cartoons from YouTube and watches them.
ROSA Media Player is totally user-oriented, so it has versions not only for ROSA, but for Windows too.
No matter what system you use. Just download ROMP and install it.
Vladimir Rubanov, Vice President of Engineering and Deputy CEO: Developers are having joy from working on this product...
...and, certainly, ROMP is used by a lot of members of our community.
So, we have decided to continue developing it.
Because it's really fun.
