Hi. I'm Melissa Suffield
and, as an actress, I understand that the power of film and TV
is so important.
So I want to tell you about a new competition that NCS is running.
We're asking you to make a short film about your NCS experiences,
tell the world about it and maybe even get a great prize in the process.
We want to know all about your NCS summer,
so why not share your story?
The best entry will get the chance to spend a week
learning about film and radio production
with top company Somethin' Else.
But it would be mean of us to leave you on your own,
so here are some things to help you get started.
In your film, you can talk about what skills you learned
or what you achieved, what surprised you the most about NCS
or what impact it had on the person you are now.
Maybe you could also think about what you'd say to other people
to get them to take part.
Above all, try and have fun with it.
It should be a reflection of you and your NCS story,
so tell your friends, tell your social networks and tell the world.
And to have the opportunity to gain some exciting work experience?
Here are some tips to help you impress the judges.
Be creative and original.
You need to make your film stand out from the crowd.
It's all about the content,
so think carefully about not just how you say things,
but actually what you're saying as well.
Really think hard about how to get your NCS message across.
We want you to inspire others to get involved with NCS
so don't just tell us about yourself;
tell others why they should sign up, too.
And looks aren't everything, but they're still important,
so choose your visuals carefully.
Make them stand out and grab the judges' attention.
So, what are you waiting for?
Get filming and get creating.
And don't worry if you missed any of this.
You can read the full terms and conditions here.
Good luck and we can't wait to hear your story.
