Have you felt a strange feeling of nostalgia mixed with an urge to find the closest quit
game button? This game might bring out the former in you and will definately bring
out the later, not to mention a need to lock up your feline friends in a safe place.
Get a little sample of said mixed feelings in this review.
This game came out in 2009, yes, thats right, I said '09. The graphics, sound, and
atmosphere make it seem like it came right out of the late 90's, early 2000's, and this
feeling just somehow reminds me of my childhood, days watching old episodes of
Seaseme Street before it became a special effects driven trip. Bad Rats is a Physics
Puzzle that involves a simple enough concept: You,
the rat use a ball to set off a small chain reaction that will result in the horrible
bloody death of an innocent tabby. So yeah... The rats are *** up.
This game is very, very repetative, and cheesy. Some of the physics make no sense and
placing objects is extremely clunky especially when it comes to the wooden planks. There
are some good things to be said for this game however, such as the *** for your buck-
44 levels. Also the number of different kinds of rats are interesting, although the turban
wearing terorrist is a bit too racist for my taste... Finnally we have the amazing amount
of deaths you can dole out to our little kitten.
Here a few of them, and trust me, the deaths get more ingenous the farther you march through
the levels. Even saying that, when the engine in a Puzzle game is flawed, it makes
the game itself pretty badly flawed as well. Overall I wouldn't recommend buying this game,
but if this review hasn't convinced you, there is a demo available on steam. I got
this game however for free, it was graciously gifted
to me by my friend, colleague, and viewer Puddy. His channel is called Matsudiro and
is in the description. Thank You for watching, now I
have to go and tell my cats that I love them.
