Mt. Everest
The Himalayas that have been like a second home
to Mr. Um always welcome him back

Pangboche, Nepal (4,060m) The Himalayas are also a source of painful memories to Mr. Um.
Namaste.
Therra... 13 years old!
This is the house of the Sherpa that fell to his death
while accompanying Mr. Um on his climb to the top of Everest in 1986.
Mr. Um have been taking care of the family ever since.

is wearing down that valley more and more?
That's how the valley becomes deeper and why avalanches continue to happen
that bring about the destruction of the valley and the ecosystem.
Mr. Um has seen how the earth is changing at the Himalayas
where the glaciers and perpetual snow continues to disappear.
What will happen to the future of our children?
