Shelter is, of course, varied. Depending upon what part of the country you live in, they
vary greatly. We live in Arizona so we don't have to have elaborate shelters. They stay
in the shelters in the winter and the summer actually and in the winter we put carpet doors
on them to keep out the wind and rain. We provide them with bedding hay, which usually
we use Bermuda hay, and blankets. We also use pigloos or doggyloos, they like those.
Pigs like to be sort of in dark secure areas. This serves well as long as you don't have
too large a pig or too fat a pig. They really don't like the rain and they don't like to
be out in the cold. So, the important thing is that your animal has shelters. Pigs love
their shelters and they love to be warm and cozy and warm and dry.
