15,000 couples who travelled to Canada to get married may not be legally joined
according to the Canadian government. If they could not marry in their own
country at the time the marriage took place, then the Canadian
nuptuals may not be valid.
The first ever gay adoption week takes place in the UK this February. Charity,
'New Family Social' say government bodies have come to value what
gay parents have to offer.
Australian tennis ace, Rennae Stubbs has backed Facebookers who plan to hold
a flashmob protest at next week's Australian Open. They're acting in
response to Margaret Court's recent attack on lesbians in professional tennis.
In a recent poll, Tel Aviv in Israel was voted the best destination for gay travellers
in 2011. The poll, carried out by American Airlines and Gaycities.com gave the city
43% of the vote, with 14% for New York and only 5% for London.
And finally, in an interview with People magazine, child star, Kristy McNichol says
she has been overwhelmed with love and support since coming out. Kristy came out
via statements through her publicist in the first week of 2012,
in support of bullied gay teens.
