Hello everyone and welcome to my website ad
Today we have the website Poptropica, which
is a massively multiplayer online game founded by Jeff Kinney, who is also the author of
Diary of the Wimpy Kid series (hard to believe), where kids can play challenges, interact with
other players, and customize their own avatars. And more importantly, learn new things. And
speaking of kids, this game is made for children, ages 7 and up. No teen/adult stuff.
But who cares, I'm a high schooler and I still enjoy this game.
So to startup, after creating your own avatar, you hop on to a blimp that will take you to
an island of your choice. Each of the islands has their own plot, strategy, and ways of
fun. I recommend going to the islands by order so it would look like playing story modes
with sequel. You noticed that some islands are colored, that is because they have been
recently upgraded into a new generation with included sound and better imagery.
In each island you will collect some items that can help you complete the island, if
you use your brain wisely and they are stored into the backpack icon. The T-shirt icon allows
you to choose an NPC and use it to customize your own avatar. The map icon shows the map
of the overall island. At first the parts are hidden, but if you go to a new part like
another street or inside a building, that part will show up on the map.
In the Main Street of each island, there is a building known as the common room, where
players can go against other players online and play some games. In your backpack, there
is list of games that are played from the common room, but they can only be multiplayer.
There are games that are not in the common room because they are single player.
Also in Main Street, there is a temporary house which is like advertisement, where players
can go inside play a game, and win temporary items while showing a link to their website
/ products. When you complete an island, you win a medal,
proof that you've beaten that island. You also win some credits, which allow you to
buy some stuff from the store, such as costumes, items, and bonus islands.
Some of the parts require paid membership, so ask your parents if you're interested.
There are also books about Poptropica. Check them out at Amazon.
And there are also some merchandise. There is also a DS game of it. (I don't know
if it is popular enough.) You know, the tasks in each island are harder
than you think. There are times when I get so stuck at this one hard thing (yet so simple)
that I had to looks at the cheats.
"oh please, you really think it's that hard? It's so easy."
"Oh come on, it's true. I really had a hard time on some of those parts."
"Oh come on a kid can beat this game!"
"So what is a kid can beat this game."
"Well that is because you're stupid."
"Sure I am kinda stupid, but so are you!"
"Sure I am kinda stupid, but so are you!"
"Me? stupid?"
"Yeah so stupid you couldn't even beat a part of this game."
"Hey I am not stupid! You hear that?"
"Prove it."
"Well I'll just beat the game myself."
"Fine."
"Even a child can beat this game huh?" "shut up I got this."
"You know you can always look at some cheats." "Shut up I got this."
So I have to say, Poptropica is definitely a game where kids AND adults can enjoy. With
lots of fun, learning new things, and many adventures. And with more island yet to be released,
the adventures never end. Well that is it every, this has been my online
website ad and have a great day.
"You know you in there for a long enough, I it's my turn now"
"Hey I said it's my-"
"Oh! uh, okay!"
