I have always loved looking at magazines for ideas and inspiration, and Pinterest is exactly
that in a digital form, without the articles. Well I love the play on words: pinning your
interest, meaning "pinterest." For the classroom teacher, Pinterest helps you pin all the ideas
on boards. Think of a bunch of cork boards, arranged by theme, and ideas pinned to them.
Additionally, Pinterest can help spark ideas by following others who may have a similar
interest in the things that you're also interested in, like apps for your grade level. You can
also comment on the images or create a note of something that you want to remember for
later, and even share a pin with a colleague or friend. We're going to take you through
the basics of creating a Pinterest account and how to pin and create boards. And then,
we will give you some classroom application ideas for using Pinterest in your class and
open up the world of pinning fun. Let's go ahead and get started by creating an account
in our next episode.
