Hi there, this is Gary Ladwig from A-Z Home Inspections. I just want to give you a quick tip about
dishwasher drain. The dishwasher drain should have a high loop on it
This is the dishwasher drain right here
and it loops up high underneath the counter-top then it goes
the dishwasher. The purpose of the high loop is
to make sure that the sink cannot potentially
drain into the bottom of the dishwasher. If that were to happen it would create a very
large mess
The sink trap right here can potentially become blocked with food and
other debris. If that were to happen and the loop was kept
very low you can see that it may potentially drain into the bottom of the dish
washer
Just as a detective, those are some little things that we look for when we are doing your home inspection
and we'll inform you when we find such a thing and how to rectify it.
So once again thanks for tuning in to A-Z Home Inspections detective.
