Hello, I'm Colin, and these are the week's top headlines from Pinksixty.
Human Rights Watch have published a report that claims Kuwaiti police are torturing and
sexually abusing trans women.
The abuses began in 2007 when a new law came into force outlawing the imitation of the
opposite sex.
*** activists were arrested in front of St Basil's in Moscow this week, as they demonstrated
against the push to ban all public gay protests.
The ban is already in place in 2 locations, with talks underway to roll it out nationally.
Amsterdam's Chief Rabbi has been suspended after he signed a declaration saying gay lifestyles
are unacceptable and that gays can be cured.
Rabbi Ralbag lives in New York, and joins 180 rabbis and community leaders to sign the
Torah Declaration.
A small group of right wingers have blocked the Swedish governments attempt to change
a law which forces trans people to be sterilised.
The law breaks Article 3 of the EU Charter of Fundamental Human Rights.
And finally, Microsoft has joined Nike and other companies in supporting equal marriage
rights in Washington.
In a statement, they said “Passing the bill would be good for our business and for the
state’s economy.”
That's all from us today. Join us again tomorrow.
