Hi! In this video we are gonna show you how to make vegan cooking cream.
There are many recipes, we have tried many, but this one gives the BEST results in flavor and texture.
In fact we combined 2 recipes into 1.
So, the ingredients are: -mild flavored vegetable oil (sunflower, canola, corn...) -vegatable milk (best with almond, soy or cashews) -soaked raw almonds.
If you use oat, rice or hazelnut, it will be too sweet for savory recipes.
And the proportions are: 1 part oil, 2 parts milk, 1 part soaked raw almonds.
So, we put the 3 ingredients together and blend.
If you want thicker creamier texture, add more almonds.
TIP: Put the blender all the way down, start blendind but DON'T move the blender until it emulsifies.
Once emulsified you can move the blender up and down.
Be careful, though! You could get a cream shower!

Here you have the texture! So creamy, right?
That's a perfect cooking cream. And as I said, if you want it thicker, add more almonds!!
Now you should strain it through a cheesecloth to get rid of the almond pulp.
TIP: If you make more amount, blend the almonds by themselves till you get a paste,
and then add that paste to the already emulsified oil and milk.
Since we were gonna make that small amount, we couldn't have blanded the almonds well, so, the cheesecloth will save us!!
And that's it, I know it is not a fancy recipe. But It is a helpful DIY to save a lot of money.
