I would like, of course, to greet everyone,
I would like to call Lilian Tintori, Please come here for a while.
I want --there are a lot of *** speakers- .
I am, here, people, Venezuela knows me very well,
I am made out of iron against hatred and I want to start with these words:
Lilian 10 years ago, almost exactly 10 years ago,
we were here ourselves, exactly nearby.
Very close from here,
It was Leopoldo,
It was Ocaris, It was Julio, Tomas. Florido was here.
There were many, Gerardo, Liliana.
Many of those who are here.
Monanquis was maybe too young.
Also here, the leaders of the political parties: Dr Aveledo, Roberto, Alfonso, Miguel Angel, Julio, Angel.
all the people I can see round here.
Here they were, and please forgive me if I can't mention you all,
Antonio mentioned you all,
We were here, very close, Carlos you remember
in a concert, Capriles in jail and my companions in the street.
trying to keep that prison in everybody's thoughts,
I want to say today, and I say it to you, Lilian, and I say it to every body.
We may have disagreements But there is something that unites us
which is bigger than anything else and is called Venezuela, carajo.
And from here I am saying to Leopoldo Lopez:
You will see me doing whatever i can in order to see you out of jail.
Don't get it wrong!!! If there is something i can say, well, I am going to be short...
There are many things to say. There is great uncertainty.
There is a lot of people requesting guidance, they are tired,
Listen, Nicolas, I...the the boxing gloves, I never stopped fighting, as everybody here,
Now Nicolas, if you want to go to the boxing ring, and put the gloves on,
You will have to deal with millions of Venezuelans in the streets of Venezuela!
Don't get it wrong! We love peace, but we will not kneel in front of the corrupted.
Here we came...
to demonstrate
I want to praise Dr Aveledo.
It is not easy his job. Is not easy sit in a table different parties, visions.
What is easy is criticize and destroy. Always the easy, as you see the government doing, is to destroy. What is difficult is to build.
and we came here, millions of Venezuelans who want a change in this country, we do not want to build this country grounded on hatred, or grounded on violence
And today we have taken the streets of Venezuela, to ratify that the protest is peaceful. And we are not allow the government to cover the reality of our country.
and not just that.
This message is for you, Nicolas. I don't accept, and nobody accepts here that those Venezuelan who think different are fascists. They are not!!!
Take those words and hide them you know where. It's enough! People deserve respect.
Till when have we to turn the TV on...
and hear that the students, or the people queuing and complaining, are accused of being fascists..
yesterday...and here i bought the list.... someone challenge me... that in Venezuela there is no torture
where are the people from the international news agencies Here they are
Yes there is. There is torture in Venezuela.
I have brought four cases. Cases of Torture. Juan Manuel Carrasco.
From here we greet you. Victim of ***. Carabobo state.
Why something like this has to happen?
Jorge Leon: craneal fissure. A helmet was broken against his head.
Marcos Coello. Detained by the CICPC, Caracas.
rib fissure due to the fist after his detention, according to the judiciary files.
Luis Boada, Rene Boldan, Nestor Hill, all of them hit and wounded by the police and then covered in petrol.
all detained by the CICPC, Caracas.
There are 18 people who have reported a violation of their human rights.
It is recorded in every one of their files. This human rights violation happened during their detention.
Here are not recorded the abuses
while they were arresting. and repression to demonstrations.
This does not include international media, which have recorded 500 cases of abuse and brutal repression.
For example, student Carlos Tejada, who lost an eye due to a tear gas bomb thrown into his face.
If you are bothered with repression, don't ask for more repression. If you are bothered about bad words, don't use them against your brothers.
Look. During this years we have learned very much.
There is people who don't like me to say it. They have their right.
But we have the responsibility, in this turbulence,
to show the light, and not to keep pushing to the darkness
those liars are already writing the plot.
the youngsters who protest, the youngsters in the street, i beg you, don't do it at night.
because in the night the paramilitaries act.
I ask, one has the duty to hear everybody, please, to those protesting, do not lock yourselves with yourselves
what do you get if you lock yourself in your own street?
who are you going to persuade in your own street if you are all already persuaded.
This government wants the protest in Altamira and not in Catia....and every day at night it feeds this protest in Altamira.
But they know that there is discomfort in Catia, in 23 de Enero. In el Guarataro. In Macarao.
and so on, throughout Venezuela
Here is the reason. You are the reason. You are the ideas.
Nicolas is the violence. Nicolas is the empty speech
Nicolas is using us to cover up the problems of the country.
Do you remember
when in 2012 we said to all, amidst a great difficulty,
lets not speak about the difficulty, do you remember when I said
go out and persuade others.
find one, find two, find three, find four.
why don't we constitute the family commandos
why don´t we
the agenda of the students.
students. The students are there!
Congratulations for all the students of Venezuela.
Don´t let Nicolas hit you.
Nicolas, please, well, let´t not talk about Nicolas
I rather not. Not today
Monday, in the government palace, I hope you let me speak to the people on TV.
Otherwise I leave Miraflores.
Then. Requessen has sponken. There is an agenda.
to this agenda we have to add some items
Crowd: we need to study Capriles: guys...
Nicolas is a mistake in history.
but if we don´t write the history
from here
More than from here
If we don´t build it from here....
that mistake will last for longer than you wish. Be careful.
then, there is an agenda.
to this agenda we have to add some items
it has already been said here. Item number one
if government wants dialogue.
you, the young, have to make your point, and sit down
because here, here, we have to recognize each other.
It is not about a majority in a given moment oppress the other.
its about us, it´s about how we achieve what we want, which is making those in power to change.
it is not a people against another people.
Then, I ask you, Juan Requessens.
He has proposed an agenda.
point number one.
we want the release of all the students on detention.
we want an amnesty for all the students who have been subject to a judiciary investigation.
Point two. We demand the liberation of Leopoldo Lopez.
Point three.
We demand a humanitarian measure for the freedom of Ivan Simonovis.
Point number four.
We demand, as I was told by MP Zambrano, who told me that there are Venezuelans in exile severely affected in their health.
We demand the end of persecution, and we demand that those who arr outside can return to their country.
Yet another point: we demand the immediate disarmament of the paramilitary.
We respect and cherish the Chavistas.
Nicolas, now do not mistake socialism for paramilitarism.
They are armed groups, using weapons without any consequences.
We demand no empty words, put time and date on it. Juan, the student movement have to be committed to that.
The whole country wants to see, in simultaneous radio and TV broadcast, the disarmament of the paramilitary.
We demand that a committee be formed
(not like many other times we saw in this country, that every time a committee is formed nothing happens)
We demand that a commission of Representatives be formed, Representatives of both the government and the "Unidad",
so that at once with the Office of the Attorney General and the Tribunals of the Republic,
there may be justice for all those who have fallen and those who have been brutally repressed.
We demand that brutal repression against the people stop immediately.
And now you, Nicolas. You hate Tachira. You hate the Tachirenses.
Because they knocked you down every time in the polls.
I love those people and Venezuela loves Tachira.
We demand that you stop repression against the people from Tachira.
Tachira does not want tanks.Tachira wants food, jobs and safety.
And here many people will say these are just a few items.
But it does not appease our inner feelings.
Venezuela is going towards an economic debacle. The country is going straight towards a debacle.
And with this they pretend ...
But, the protest...
You know that I am saying the truth.
The purpose of the protest can neither be our division, nor to turn this into a war among Venezuelans.
We have to turn the protest and what is happening now into a great country-wide movement.
A movement from within the slums. No change is possible in Venezuela if the slums do not participate.
The students are everywhere.
What have we said to the students who are suffering the highest unemployment rate in the country?
What have we said? We told them to join the protest of the doctors and health workers.
To join the protest of teachers and those who work in the education system. Their schools are falling apart.
Let's join the social demonstration. Last year 5000 demonstrations happened in our country.
Some people didn't know
even Nicolas had to acknowledge this yesterday.
After 15 years in power, he dares to say that the country's safety issue cannot be solved in 2 months.
When are they going to address this? When we are all dead in the graveyard?
If you can't, then just go.
Now, I previously said this was not about "Get out now!"
This is about debating, because we cannot underestimate everyone's ability to hear and see.
Empty proposals do not convince anyone.
Substantial proposals addressing the feelings of every Venezuelan those can unite the people.
We here, and all of you who went out and voted.
This strength was not built on the basis of a call to war. Neither on the basis of killing each other.
This strength was built on the basis of a project better than this disastrous one that we have currently.
I want to ask you to raise this flag again.
This is the flag is not just mine. It is the Venezuelan flag. The one you are wearing on your heads.
To conclude, "yes" to peaceful demonstration.
As long as a Venezuelan is suffering, they have the right to protest.
As long as a Venezuelan is suffering, they have the right to demand.
"Yes" to peaceful demonstration,
but ["no"] to demonstration that makes it easy for them.
That's why I appealed that people do not get out to protest at night!
Paramilitary are in action during the night
and we are not able to defend anyone who goes out to protest peacefully
with their flag and then the paramilitary come and ***
them. You know which groups they are.
Then, if there are a few, they gun them down. If a few remain, they gun them down, they are encouraged.
Juan, we need to put order, organization.
Problems do not fix by themselves. Problems are addressed with organization.
The way you did to defend the vote.
They have stolen [the vote] where we did not have people to watch.
This is the time for organization. Time to get back on track. To turn this demonstration into an unstoppable social movement.
When that happens, which is just around the corner if we do it right,
you who are here gathered today will say "Those on the Francisco de Miranda Avenue
who talked to us and showed us the way on that day, they were right".
We are not here to be agreed with. We came here to be the light within the turmoil.
We hold the responsibility, I am saying this from my heart.
I am not going to... We are not going to [allow] That a fellow is killed or imprisoned, and do nothing about it.
My dear lady. Take care and support your children.
We have the Constitution. Let's be firm in the slums and in the neighborhoods.
Let's demand what is ours for being children of this land.
It is like this. You must be confident. You have faith.
You have God in your hearts.
Let's turn this protest into the greatest social movement in the history of Venezuela.
Leopoldo Lopez.
When someone is in prison, someone is always there to tell them what is happening.
There are always a good one and a bad one.
But, there is always a good one.
From here we tell him "we will be there with the people in the Ramo Verde Prison,
to visit you, Ivan, and all those detained.
I am sure that when there are differences, and we know how to solve them,
that makes us stronger
Remember, when you get home, be proud.
We show the world we are peaceful people who condemn violence.
We are on the streets today to demand peace for Venezuela.
Bring this back home with you:
"United we stand".
The day will come, when in this very same place
a united country will stand for the future and peace in Venezuela.
The Chavista people know I respect and love them.
They know there is room for them in this movement we are building.
Here, the only loosers will be the small group who looted this country.
Justice can be twisted. Many times, as we see today, they manipulate and control justice.
But no one escapes justice from "up above".
I have a motto: "Do your best, and God will do the rest".
Folks, hold on to the streets of Venezuela
demanding a future.
A mother from Valencia told me "My son is on
"My son is on the street and he is not a fascist.
He wants a future and nobody can deny it".
Here I tell you:
"Your son and the children of Venezuela have a right to the future
because this is the best country in the world".
God bless Venezuelan people. I love you forever.
