Minnesota. The heart of the country. Here we like our rivers long and our lumberjacks large.
And we like to know that our families, friends and neighbors can find affordable health insurance coverage.
That's where I come in. They call me The Assister.
WOMAN: Oh, Honey, isn't this exciting? I love that one! MAN: Platinum? Are you sure about that?
WOMAN: Gold then? Silver? MAN: What's the price on that one?
ASSISTER: It sounds like "Congratulations" are in order?
WOMAN: Congratulations? ASSISTER: You two aren't getting married?
MAN: (laughing): Married? No! We're already married. We're just shopping for health insurance. WOMAN: We don't understand the new rating system.
ASSISTER: Oh, okay. So there are four ratings on MNsure.org: Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze.
Platinum plans usually cost the most, but you'll probably end up paying less for your healthcare services.
WOMAN: Platinum plans cost the most. So they're the best, right?
ASSISTER: Not necessarily. It depends on which plan is right for you. MAN: Well, what else is there?
ASSISTER: A Bronze plan will typically cost the least, but you'll probably end up paying more for your healthcare services when you use them.
Gold and Silver fall in between. MAN: But how can we make sure we have coverage when we need it?
ASSISTER: All plans have to have free preventative care. WOMAN: Like flu shots! MAN: And routine check-ups!
ASSISTER: Yep, and prescription drugs, emergency care and much more. But, how much is covered depends on which plan you choose.
WOMAN! I get it. ASSISTER: Great, so do you know which plan is right for each of you?
WOMAN AND MAN: I like that one! ASSISTER: Sounds like a perfect match! Congratulations!
ASSISTER: Let me know how I can help. MAN: Thank you!
