Hi my name is Dr. Art Bowler and I am a psychologist at Manhattan New York City where I have my
own private practice. In this clip I am going to talk about how to wake up revived. Waking
up revived feels great, doesn't it? Well here are some tips about how to wake up revived,
feeling really good. Basically monitor your alcohol and caffeine intake. They both impact
the level of sleep that you get. Caffeine tends to make us moody and drowsy during the
day and alcohol impacts the amount of REM sleep that we achieve every night and we need
that REM sleep to accommodate all the things that we learn during the day. Get good physical
exercise. Physical exercise is proven to affect both types of sleep, our REM sleep and our
long wave sleep. Also live a life that you are proud of. By living a life that you are
proud of you will be sure to sleep well at night. It is important to get a good night's
sleep. Have a good mattress. I also believe that really affects your sleep and think about
