Don't fall hey!
That's Verhoeven, he is a skilled surfer!
Here are the leftovers of our Ford KA.
The front axle.
And what we have there is
a rear axle of a Ford Sierra.
And we have a lot of metal.
I think we are going to build something. -Right
Just like in the supermarket, drive around with you cart and fill it.
And don't pay.
Well Verhoeven, do a little tour.
Well, put some iron in between and we're finished.
Hey Milo, explain how this works.
Here is the engine.
Weld the diff over there. Engine is of a VW Golf.
Front-wheel drive, normally the drive shaft is here. And then the wheel.
But now, we go from here, not to the wheel, but to the diff of the Sierra.
These are the shock absorbers of the Ford KA.
We are going to weld the drive shafts to each other.
On both sides.
Then we have front wheel drive.
And here we have a complete rear axle of a ford Sierra.
And the same diff.
And that will be attached to this drive shaft.
So instead of a wheel, there is another diff.
extra reduction.
Good for offroading.
And we can use bigger tires.
It is starting to look like something Verhoeven.
What is happening?
Maybe not so dumb to check that.
Yes that will become a CO2 Lock diff.
I like that.
Are you sure you are welding the right ones?
I don't want to start over.
That won't turn anymore.
Now we are sure both back wheels will be turning.
An update:
Steering column is in.
prop shaft is finished.
Radiator is in.
Almost finished I think. not?
Yes start and drive.
Meike fire it up... ow forgot the wheels. - We still mis some essential parts.
Well Thijs, busy with the finishing touch?
And then it's going to work or not?
Of course it 'll work.
I'm curious. - Are you doubtful?
No I'm not, I'm just asking.
We are first doing a test drive with small tires.
There should be bigger wheels on it,
but this is good enough to test.
Because the fuel has to come from far, we are going to push start it to begin.
Let's see it that works.
It was a long build, many steps taken, but now we are that far.
It is going to start.
That is going to pull it.
If it's strong enough...
Yes, it drives.
