Since Demo Student has flunked all of our courses and will soon be removed from our class list,
we need an alternative method to see the student side of things in our classes.
If you are using the default template, the Role Switch Widget will automatically be added to your class.
If you are using a custom homepage, you’ll need to add that manually.
If you create a custom homepage after hearing this video, it will become part of your custom homepage.
This is my custom homepage I created prior to Demo Student flunking out of my class.
So I need to add Role Switch to my homepage.
Role Switch will NOT be visible to students.
What I’m going to do is click on Homepages. Here is my active homepage.
I’m going to click on the title, and here is where I’m going to add the Role Switch widget by clicking on Add Widgets.
It’s quite a long list so I can type role, to search for it. Select it, and click add.
You can add it wherever you like, in the new template we’re placing it just below the calendar.
Now I’m going to scroll and save and close.
Since my custom homepage is active, when I go back, you can see that role switch has been added.
This whole process has taken less than two minutes.
