>> [ANCHOR]: And more than 40 people in our area voluntarily went bald to raise money
for childhood cancer research today. It was part of an event for the St. Baldrick’s
Foundation at RIT this morning. This is the second time Rhonda Hess has gone bald for
the cause.
>> [RHONDA]: This year I’m doing it for my friend Lisa who actually passed away from
breast cancer three years ago. So this year it hit me and I really wanted to it for her
again this year. This year is a little cooler, so it might be a little chilly when I walk
out the door. But it will be good.
>>[ANCHOR]: The group hopes to raise $15,000 for the foundation. 80 percent of the donations
go directly to research for patients in our area.
