Hello and welcome to OcUK TV
Today we'll be doing our first ever product review
This is one of our ultra high-end gaming machines, based on the Intel Core i7 3820 quad-core CPU
paired with the Intel X79 chipset, which is a 2011 socket.
This is Intel's premium architecture
and it sits just above the mainstream platform, such as Z77 and Z87.
This system uses a Intel Core i7 3820 quad-core CPU
we've overclocked it to a massive 4.2GHz
we've achieved this by using the Alpenföhn MountDoom K2 CPU cooler
as you can see, it uses a combination of 120mm fan with a 140mm fan;
the result is a near silent CPU cooler
which keeps the CPU at optimum temperatures during high loads
such as gaming, video encoding, and benchmarking - such as folding
The storage in this system, we have the Samsung 840 Series 120 gig SSD
which run 6GB/s - courtesy of the Intel X79 motherboard.
In tandem with the SSD, we have a 2TB Seagate Barracuda which is perfect for storing
The graphical horse power provided by the system
is the AMD Radeon HD7970 graphics card
the version we have in this system, is the HIS Ice-Q - which has a revised cooler
which allows cooler in take temperatures, and cooler running overall
which, if you so wish, means you can overclock the graphics card
higher than the standard speeds.
This provides DX11 action, and maximum FPS, even in the most intensive games
such as Crysis 3, Battlefield 3, and FarCry 2.
The sound card in this system, is the Asus DGX 5.1 PCI Express sound card.
This gives very crisp, and rich detailed surround sound
The power supply we use in this system is the 2013 Corsair Gaming Series GS600.
It features a semi-passive fan
which only spins up on full when the PC's under load,
so in times when the PC is idling or browsing the internet
the fan stays silent, which is really good
because it means your system is very quiet when using it for everyday tasks.
The chassis this system uses is the NZXT Phantom USB3.0 Enthusiast tower case
the current model we've got here, is the black and orange.
It's a very unique chassis that has high air flow; it comes with an integrated fan controller
and USB3.0 ports on the front. You can also control the LED's of the rear fan via a button on the rear.
This is collect and return warranty, which means if anything ever goes with your system we will collect it from you - free of charge.
All of our technicians build our systems with a premium cable management scheme
which means the insides of the computer are clutter-free, and air flow is made to an optimum.
The Ultima Prism is full customisable, whether you want a larger HDD,
SSD, bigger graphics card, or even a different chassis itself -
we have a multitude of options on our website.
