Hello, I'm Mike.
I'd like to introduce Hello 2.0. A smartphone application which enables a bars customers
to anonymously break the ice with one another.
In the late 90's, I was in a bar in London called Caspar's. Caspar's had one unique feature
which was on every table there was a big, black telephone. And this enabled you to call
the other tables. Needless to say, after a few drinks we ended up having a lot of fun
calling some of the female tables in the venue.
As a social experiment, we have tried to squeeze Caspar's big black telephone into a smartphone
application. Beta testing starts now, in Toronto. Please, lock up your daughters.
Three things. Hello 2.0 creates a new event that you and your friends can go to in order
to meet new people. We've removed the face-to-face pressure of new introductions. Bars have not
upped their game. Hello 2.0 makes going out more fun.
Against existing dating sector players, we believe we compete well for four main reasons.
Number one, our service is free of charge. Number two, we collect no personal data, nor
do we ask for a profile. Number three, we don't use geo-location proximity, so there
is no risk of being stalked. Number four, unlike the NSA, we do not collect or retain
any call method data associated with your device.
So i'm a socially clumsy introvert, but that's a huge improvement from where I was 15 years
ago. This service really resonates with me as being useful.
In terms of bars, they've lost relevance due to the online dating alternatives, and our
service helps bars regain relevance in the dating sector. Lastly, when I asked my friend
Jake, he said it was really cool.
Thank you for listening.
One more thing. Jill, if you're watching, it was great meeting you that night at Caspar's.
It'd be great if you could return my calls.
