It's already February, the month of Valentine's Day. This week I'm going to talk about the
benefits of couples massage where you massage your partner. Massage provides many benefits
to your mind and body. For example, relaxation, better circulation, muscle pain reduction,
better sleep, better digestion, detox, improved immune system, and helps with anxiety and depression.
When you massage your partner, you can give all these benefits to your massage-loving partner.
Here are three of the other reasons why it's good to massage your partner:
1. To help reduce the "relationship killer." What I mean by that is your partner's stress.
Here's the definition of stress: Stress n. (str?s)
A mentally or emotionally disruptive or upsetting condition occurring in response to adverse
external influences and capable of affecting physical health, usually characterized by
increased heart rate, a rise in blood pressure, muscular tension, irritability, and depression.
When you are under stress you become irritable and snappy. You may react negatively to things
that usually don't bother you when you are not under stress. Stress can make the nicest
person not so nice. Prolonged stress can eventually hurt your relationship with others in your life.
Busy mom clients have told me that they are nicer to their families after they get a massage.
So when you massage your partner you are helping the nice person stay being nice.
Think about how much it's worth to you in your relationship.
2. To prevent skin cancer. Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the US and
millions of people are diagnosed every year. However it's very curable if it's detected
and treated early. I plan to share this later but it's a good idea to learn how to detect
a questionable mole. When you massage your partner's bare back on a regular basis you
can see if there is any changes to the existing mole or new mole growing. You can then have
the specialist check it.
3. Starting point for intimacy. So many people (especially guys) think couples massage is
sensual but it doesn't have to be. You can dive straight into sensual massage if it's
well received by your partner but it may not be that easy. For those who want to add more
touch in their relationship, non-sensual massage is a great opportunity and excuse to touch
your partner casually. Use non-sensual massage as a starting point, and after you make your
massage-loving partner is happier, then you can take it to more intimate activities.
I hope this is helpful in seeing a different perspective on massaging your partner.
