All right, guys. You're looking at the MP522 DLP projector from BenQ.
And this is a really cool projector, A: Because it's very affordable,
and B: Because it's very, very versatile. It lets you do a lot of different things.
First off, four by three or sixteen by nine.
So, even though it's small and you could take it with you to do business presentations in 4 by 3,
if you wanted to take it home,
you could use it a a home theater 'cause it will do sixteen by nine.
You could even game on it if you wanted to, in widescreen format.
It does have two thousand lumens, which is very bright.
That's going to let you pretty much go anywhere that's...
even, you know, with the lights on, you're not going to have a problem,
you're not going to have to dim the lights to get it to look great.
It's got a thousand to one contrast ratio, which is, also, excellent.
So you're going to get very, very dark blacks, and very bright whites.
And it actually comes with a little program built into here
that will actually accomodate whatever you're throwing it up against.
You don't always have to have a screen.
So let's say you're putting it up on a green wall, you have this adjustment program built in,
you can actually access it either through these front buttons right here,
or you can access it throught the remote control, which is very handily provided to you,
and that wil pretty much adjust itself so that it looks the same no matter what background you are.
Now, obviously, a good projector screen will always look best,
but a white wall, a beige wall, maybe if you're in school a chalkboard,
or one of those white markerboards, all of that kind of stuff is going to work.
Now, it has a 1.1:1 ratio zoom, so that'sgood. It has keystone correction, that's also good,
that means you can mount it on the floor, or on a table, or hang it from the ceiling
and it will work, no problems.
It does 1024 by 768 pixels of resolution, so that's very good as well.
What else can I tell you about this thing?
4.9 lbs, very light. And very attractive, I might add.
It's got a really nice design. I really like the way they made it look.
I like that piano black finish and I like the front, too.
And the lens looks really good, too.
That's pretty much it.
I'm going to go over the buttons and what's on the back with you in a second,
but before we do that, I want to go see what this thing looks like.
So, let's go check it out:
All right, so we're in a conference room, we got it hooked up to a Lenovo S10 macbook,
and it's up against te wall, it's in 16 by 9, it's using the native format,
and as you can see, the lights are on, it looks pretty good,
I'm rickrolling you guys so whatever, and let's see it with the lights off.
It looks even better, like I said:
two thousand lumens is more than enough for bright lights or for indoor/outdoor.
That's pretty much it. Let's go talk about the inputs and outputs on the back of this thing.
So, as you can see, that is some pretty awesome performance.
It looks really, really fantastic, especially in a dim room.
Even in a bright room it still looks really great
and the fact that you can switch between different aspect ratios is awesome.
Now, let's talk about the connectivity that we're going to talk about.
Starting off right over here, that's a four pin S video cable right there.
That can input any type of video from a video camera, VCR, whatever you got.
This is the composite, which is what most of you are going to be using,
If you're going to be doing TV or anything of the sort.
Right here is your VGA input, which is pretty much where you're going to input your PC.
VGA output to go back out to a monitor,
And this right here is called mini DIN which is another connection.
Lastly, this is just pretty much your power.
Take a look at the buttons on the top of the unit. You have your power button.
Over here you can do your keystone correction and input your source.
You have a blank button that's probably programmable,
actually didn't get to use that one.
This enters between the different modes,
where you can set up what type of screen you're going up against,
and you can use that in conjection with your mini button.
And all of these features are duplicated on the remote control
so you don't actually have to be at the unit to use it.
So that's very, very nice as well.
Again, the BenQ MP522 DLP projector. IT's about five lbs,
Will give you four thousand hours of projecting on one bulb.
It will do sixteen by nine, it will do four by three.
It's affordable, it's got a good warranty.
It looks great.
What more do you want?
It's a great projector. If you have any questions on it, go ahead and email me at this email address
