How many of you use Google to do your research? Chances are, it's a whole lot of you.
And if you do do a search in Google, you usually will end up with lots of results, right?
And some of those results, it's hard to tell if they're authoritative or not. In
this tutorial series we'll explain the importance of using the library for academic research,
and how that will connect to your college success.
There are three learning objectives for the first librarian session in University Foundations 100.
The first is to teach you how to become familiar with developing your topic and learning about
key words and how to choose your key words using mindmapping tools.
Next you're going to learn how to locate articles using the library's website.
And once you've found those articles, you'll learn how to interpret that citation and determine
if it's a correct citation or not.
