The strategy that I am sharing is known as "Buzz Time".
Its intended effect is to give my students an opportunity to
process what they have learned in the last 20 minutes or so.
Every 20 minutes or so, I try to give them time to just
talk among themselves and hopefully that will surface
doubts, and questions that they might have.
And after the 2 minutes that I give them for buzzing,
it will be followed by question time.
During this question time, I will then answer
whatever questions they might have.
The caveat here though is that if you are doing this
at the end of the day in the afternoons when it's hot,
or if you are doing it with a class that is not so strong,
you have to be a bit more structured, in the two minutes, otherwise
it will become a time for them to just relax and take a break.
