Hi there, this is Jennifer Fivelsdal of JFIVE Homes Realty and I'm coming to you from my open house.
This is a Broker's open house. This is when the Brokers come in to takie a look at the property so they can get more familiarized with the home.
You might be wondering, "How important is this?" This is very important for the marketing of your home.
The agents will give feedback about the property. Sometimes they'll give great suggestions as to what could be done differently to make the home more marketable
as well as feedback on price. Many times after an open house, home owners are more agreeable to a price reduction
because they take a look at the feedback from the many agents.
So, if you have your home on the market, make sure to agree to a Broker's open house
and you can also make sure that the home is ready, you know, presentable for the open house.
One thing we do ask of a seller: Do not be present for the open house.
Take a walk, go shopping. Why? Because the agents will give better feedback if you're not around. They will say exactly what they feel.
So, if your home's on the market or you're thinking of putting it on the market, make sure that the Broker's open house is part of the plan.
