Hi everyone this is Choicerish or aka Chihiro!
Today I'm on the 2nd floor of Daimaru Umeda
to try out the new spring collection from NARS!
Apparently the eye make up is amazing, so I'd like to report along!
I'm going to get my make up done by Miss Nozaki who is a beauty advisor
I'd like to create today's look using this duo eyeshadow that's out in stores from the 14th of February
wow it's so pretty~!
there's a purple and a blue and I'd like to use the purple as the main colour to create a feminine dramatic look
and this blue eyeliner will bring everything together
I can't wait to see the dramatic eyes!
Let's start!
Starting off with this cream eye shadow
We want some glow to the eyes so I'm using a beige shadow to bring some depth
Using a cream eyeshadow will bring out the glow while also bringing dimension to the eyes
Apply that to the entire lid area and then by using your finger to pat it on, this will even out the product
so after applying it with a brush, use your finger to blend it in
after that I'm applying the eyeshadow, and I'm using purple as the main colour for today's look
the brush is quite large Yes, the brush is quite dense and I'm just patting on the product to your lids
so don't glide it on? No, by patting on the product the pigmentation will show through really well
so start by applying it on the entire lid area and then blend it out afterwards
the colour is amazing
Yes it is, but if you apply it while blending the colour payoff isn't that great
So I'm literally just patting it on
only blend the outer edges to get rid of the harsh lines
because if you blend the centre of the lid, the colour will become vague
so only blend the edges
Is there an easy way to give these sort of colours a go?
Yes, if you use a cream shadow that's brown based like the one I used to today
and layer colours on top of a brown base,
the colours will lean towards the browns so it's easier to try out different colours
and in the crease, area I'm applying this Champagne Gold and it's perfect for spring
this will create a seamless gradation
oh, yes! because it's purple
wow it's so pretty!
it's very feminine isn't it!
Next I'm using this eyeliner as the focal point of this look
so I'm going to apply this very pigmented blue and the colour payoff is amazing
it's very soft so you don't have to apply too much pressure
I'm going to wing out the edge a little longer to make it a little more feminine
and you can finish the look with this but I'm going to layer on the blue shadow from the duo palette
and just pat that on top of the eyeliner
and I'm using a thin nylon brush to do so
wow, it's amazing
the colours are very Nars like
right! I can't use these sort of colours
You can stop it there or you can do the same thing to the bottom lash line by applying the cream shadow
by applying it to the bottom, it make bring even more dimension to your eyes
Repeating what we did on the upper lid, I'm taking the purple and popping that on the bottom lash line
It also looks amazing if you have the upper line as purple and the bottom as blue
If you want to blend the colours in a bit, you can take the Champagne Gold shadow on the bottom lash line
popping that on the bottom lash line and slightly connecting that with the shadow above
there's 2 types of Mascaras and this is the lengthening mascara
I'm going to layer the volume mascara on top of the lengthening mascara
doubling it up!
the comb is very firm so if you apply it near you roots first oh, it's different, it's defined my eyes
Next I'm taking the volumizing mascara, and yes the brush is different and is a lot thicker and looks volumizing
so I'm taking this to bring some volume to the lashes
mascaras from Nars really brings volume to the lashes so they look similar to false lashes
If you layer on mascaras don't they clump up? The mascaras don't really clump up
it coats every lash individually and it keeps your curl in place
does the order of the applying the mascara matter? Like from long to volume?
If you start from the long mascara, it will bring length to the lashes and then use the volume mascara to add volume to the lengthened lashes
oh, right!
yes, so grab the individual lashes first and then layer on the volume
so get the length and then volumize using that length. Right!
and the bottom lashes also looks good
and with mascara alone, it brings the look together so you can leave out the eyeliner on the bottom lash line
I also had my other eye done as well as brows, Cheeks, and lips!
My make up is complete!
What's the main focus of the look?
Applying the purple all over the lid as a base and I went with the feminine dramatic theme
and using the blue as eyeliner makes the look more spring like
the colours are really springy, love it!
So, I had my make up done by Miss Nozaki~! Thank you so much!
