Brush out or Retouch problem areas
If a great photo has a spot, blemish,
or other small flaw,
you can easily remove it with the retouch tool.
Select the photo
and click "Edit".
Place your pointer over the spot
and then press 1 to zoom in so that you have
a better view and finer control.
Now click "Retouch",
you can drag the slider to change the size of the brush.
Position the brush over the mark that you want to remove.
If it is a small mark
try clicking a few times over the spot.
If that isn't enough, or the mark is larger
dragging short strokes to blend the mark
into its surrounding colors.
When you're finished, click the X to close the retouch tool,
press zero to zoom out
and click "Done".
iPhoto automatically detects hard edges
and tries to keep them intact to avoid blurring,
so it can easily remove flaws from tricky spots.
At any time you can press the Shift key
to quickly compare the edited photo to its original version.
With iPhoto ’09 you can easily brush out
and retouch problem areas in your photos.
