Hey everyone!
I'm Colleen Ballinger, and this is my recap of America's
Got Talent.
We are in week two of the quarter finals, and we saw 12
more acts tonight.
And the talent is getting better and better.
It's really, really exciting to watch.
First up was LionDanceMe.
They do this awesome martial arts act
with crazy, huge costumes.
And they're jumping around on these little tiny stools and
doing acrobatic tricks.
It's super impressive at first, but I feel like it gets
kind of stale after a minute.
Turf the contortionist was up next.
This man is definitely good at what he does.
He moves and twists his body in ways that I do not
understand.
I just don't think that he's a million-dollar act.
The judges seemed to disagree with me, which is fine.
Throughout the show, they kept putting him
in the dance category.
I don't see how this guy's a dancer.
All he does is pop his arm out of its socket and put it up in
his kneecap.
The All Ways band came on after Turf, and they sang a
rock version of Lady Gaga's "Telephone."
They had a rough start.
Hello, hello, baby.
You called?
I can't hear a thing.
[CRICKETS]
Once the song got into more of a rock feel, they definitely
got a lot better.
And I actually enjoyed the performance.
Howie said that they shouldn't have the same name as a ***
liner, and I agree.
Hi, my name is Tampax.
Yeah, just change the name.
Hawley Magic graced the stage next and did a crazy, magic
illusion act.
The magician balanced his assistant on a metal rod.
Even though the illusion was really impressive, the judges
thought that they were super corny.
And I agree.
The Lisa Clark Dancers came on stage and I like them.
They incorporate so many different styles of dance into
their routine, and I think it's fun to watch.
However, the judges weren't into them.
They got buzzed by Howie because he felt like he was
watching a little kid recital.
Next up, we had the Aurora Light Painters.
They do a really cool light performance art act thing.
I have no idea how this works.
It's really confusing to watch.
The judges were not entertained.
They did not like it.
I don't think they're going to get through.
Danielle Stallings got up there and sang her butt off.
This 14 year-old girl has such a mature, big voice, I cannot
believe it's coming out of her.
I love her.
The judges love her.
The audience loves her.
I think she's gonna go far.
The acrobats Donovan and Rebecca came on stage and were
mesmerizing.
I feel like I'm being hypnotized when
I watch them perform.
They ended their act upside down, and she was dangling by
her foot on his hand.
It was both terrifying and very impressive.
Big Barry the singer came on next.
He come out with his bedazzled, white tuxedo and
was buzzed out right away.
He sounded so bad!
What was with the 10-foot tall models walking around him?
I feel like they sat around in a board
meeting and were like--
How can we distract America from the fact that this man
has absolutely no talent?
We could put some really hot models on the stage.
I like it.
I don't care how hot these girls are, they did not
distract me from the fact that this man was terrible.
Tom Cotter the comedian came on after
him, and he's hilarious.
If you tell a booger or a poop joke, I'm sold.
He was funny, he was charming, and he's a family man, so
what's not to like?
Next we had the danger act slash magician Dan Black.
I do not like guns, sharp things, and I am
terrified of balloons.
So this guy had no chance of winning me over.
But the judges seemed impressed, and I guess that's
all that matters-- unless America shares my fear for
balloons, and then he's screwed.
Tim Hockenberry the singer was the last
performer of the evening.
He's extremely talented, but the most important thing about
him is he has a great story, which America
falls for every time.
All right, that's all I have for you guys today.
