Well the purpose of the assignment is really to get the kids to understand
what control systems can do.
We learned so much about electricity and how it originates
and now we actively learn how to use it and how to make it
work for us.
So we followed a manual and built different robots.
Each robot would, I guess, would complete a specified task.
So there were two robots, the tumbler, which was
able to drive right side up, upside down,
and like on the sides and it was unbelievable.
And then the other one was able to pick up
objects with a robotic arm.
In the end we learned a lot about robotics, electrical circuits,
and the mechanics behind wheels and other gear boxes and systems,
and really how these things kind of work together and fit together
to make application useful. It's really exciting to see the various applications
that we could use in the future such as Biomedical, Mechanical Engineering,
Electrical Engineering, and overall the experience was really rewarding.
