hello and thanks for joining me to check out The Blind Shrine Maiden
I believe it is a twist on the survival horror genre
and an innovation on FPS in which the First Person Perspective
is actually that of your enemy Now right now we're blind
and we're trying to guide the character under three archways
in order to open up the gate to the graveyard and we're doing that by listening for the
chimes on the archways and listening to our footsteps to make sure
we're on the path and not in the snow
Ok so we've made it under the third archway and we just have to make it into the graveyard.
Now there's a demon after us so we're seeing through its eyes now
she's using ESP to see through the eyes of her enemy
and we're making we're trying to put some distance between us and the demon
so that we can turn around and shoot it alright so we got that demon
and now we're well off the path I can kind of make out some of the statuary
on the... wall surrounding the graveyard
so I'm headed in that direction I can hear that we've just stumbled on the
path so now we just have to follow it into the
graveyard alright and here's another monster after us
nearly escaped there! made it through the gate
of course the gate's not going to stop a ghost!
Turned around and shot it Bad news is, we're down to 5 bullets
here in the graveyard though Hoshimi, the character's psychic abilities
are stronger and we can find some ammo...
hopefully. I like here that being "blind" adds a claustrophobic
feel you do feel quite helplees
especially when you have to wheel around and shoot a demon
seems like you never have enough time or you have JUST enough time
ok there we got the clip just in time and reloaded
but the demons are coming two and three at a time now
I'm down to three bullets here missed that clip
all out narrowly escaped there
got another clip and got 'im
*phew* now the idea is
we have to dispatch 10 demons in order to get to the boss battle
now again this is an early build I think a lot of the suspense will be helped by
a sound track and sound fx again, already you feel quite panicky trying
to turn in time to shoot the demons sometimes you're just not fast enough!
alright so that's the Blind Shrine Maiden... so far.
we didn't get to the boss battle we'll have to save that for a next time
I hope you liked it, or at least can see its potential
and where it's headed if you'd like to help out, with the audio
duties especially message me here or check out the nickel city
pixels' website (nickelcitypixels.com) THanks again, bye!
Like, why don't you? What kind of person are you that you can't spend 1 second to show
your appreciation for something new and innovative, huh? Really!
