Wild horses being removed from the High Rock Complex are arriving daily at the BLM Litchfield corrals where they receive vaccinations for a variety of equine diseases and de-worming medication.
Wranglers use a squeeze chute to old the animals steady as injections are administered.
Young horses trot calmly toward a large holding pen where they will receive fresh hay and water. They are marked with a non-permanent colored paint that indicates their herd management area.
Animals removed from the range will be available for adoption when they have received all vaccinations and boosters, and have been freeze marked. The process takes about six weeks.
