Hello Lancers! I'm Laila Hajjali. It's Friday, February the 21st, and PCC One starts
now!
PCC One. Campus news in a minute.
PCC One is brought to you by the Pasadena City College Academy of Professional Learning.
The Academy of Professional Learning. Opportunity. Engagement. Collaboration.
Welcome to the weekend edition. After watching this, you'll be two minutes closer to it.
I know what you're thinking. What could possibly be going on in L-110 today?
Great question. From 8 to 4, there will be a General Transfer Advisor available to make sure that
you're on the right track to transfer. So drop on by and tell them that Laila from PCC One
sent ya. From noon to 1, L-110 will be hosting another of their informative
"How to Transfer" orientations. No transfer questions are too big or too small, so feel free to ask them all.
Time for a little PCC Sportsbeat:

Looking for some cool, aquatic action this weekend? Then head on over to the 29th Annual
Mt. Sac Swimming Invitational. Our Lancer swimming and diving teams will be competing
against the best from the region as they hope to bring home the glory. The first event starts
today at 10AM, tomorrow, at 9AM. Go make some waves, Lancers! After handling LA Trade Tech
by 22 on Wednesday, our Lady Lancers head to Compton tonight to take on the Tartars
of El Camino College - Compton Center. Hoops action starts at 5. Our men's team, coming
off their own 80-68 victory over LA Trade Tech, will battle the Tatars at 7. After dropping
a tight one in extra innings against Rio Hondo on Wednesday, our baseball squad will be looking
for revenge as they take the well-watered Robinson Field Saturday, hosting those pesky Road Runners.
[Meep. Meep.]
Finally, are you looking for the perfect date night?
Perhaps you need to make up for your Valentine's Day fail? Or, maybe you just love the theater, or love to dance.
Well this is your lucky weekend. For those of you who like to "Move it, Move it"
The Association of Latino Employees (ALE), cordially invite you to a Salsa Mixer and Fundraiser tonight, starting at 8:30
at the Lumina Academy in Pasadena.
The event is $10 per person and includes a Salsa lesson.
If the theater is more your style, check out PCC's Musical Theater production of Stephen Sondheim's Tony Award Winning, Company.
Company is a musical with a very familiar theme, one man's inability to commit
to a relationship. Timeless... Show times are 8 o'clock tonight and 2 o'clock tomorrow.
Tickets are $15 for general admission and $10 for students, staff, and seniors.
You can purchase them at the Center for the Arts box office.
