Let's go to the Cristal Arena where's crisis for several weeks now...
There is big concern. The management and the fans are desperate.
12 minutes passed when Genk fans are entering the stands.
"You have to earn out support". "We are Genk" is written on the banners
This drives you crazy. We have to get out of this mess very fast!
"Bad times become good lessons"
"Painfull" that was the headliner of the local newspaper after the next loss of Racing Genk
I can't speak of bad times anymore, this is a big crisis!
I can state that this is an uppercut. This doesn't feel good. This makes us think on every level... Again!
"We *** on this management" chant the fans. Genksupporters are mad against the management.
Atmosphere is getting worse, beer is thrown and the police had to intervene.
A small delegation of the supporters can enter to negotiate.
What bothers me the most is all the fuzz at the end of the game. I want to ask the fans
who are most disappointed, the hotheads to stay quiet for one more day.
Tomorrow is a new day, blablabla
Fans of the first hour are not satisfied by the meeting and are planning new protests.
The negotiations were calm, but we didn't hear what we expected.
We wanted to hear the reason of the crisis, but they never told us that.
In an open letter some fans were critical about the management of the club.
You can make analysis of analysis but once you made a decission
you can't change that very easy.
"Get out Degraen (general manager) and Jacob (technical manager)"
"Love for the club prevails over commerce" "Stadium =/= theatre"
I search for a reason why these two people are in the line of fire. It means there is
something fundamentally wrong. The fans are not blind!
The chants against the management are not nice, even when they win the last game.
Especially Degraen is the main target.
Nobody likes this. It seems fans need some target to aim their frustration and apparently
it's me now. But ok, I try not to care.
The fans play a crucial role. Supporters are the customers of the club. Yesterday they protested.
I don't think supporters are customers. Supporters ARE the club. That's it!
It's kind of the same, not?
Customers is too commercial. I believe it's much more! They ARE the club, they LIVE the club!
So you understand their protests?
Yes, I do understand their protests.
A lot of fans are leaving the Cristal Arena...
